Welcome
My name is Dora and I started this blog to give other women, mamas, mamas-to-be, and someday-mamas some IRL inspirations, advice, and lifestyle trends. Designing Forever Home started when I had so many friends + family members ask to see updates to our outdated 1990s colonial we bought as our first home. I created an instagram page where they could follow along as my husband + I made some big decisions, created new spaces, and prioritized our renovations just in time to welcome our first baby, Carmella Jane, into the world. I realized rather quickly that so many followers were looking for so much more than just home content. Whether it was home decor ideas, budget friendly nursery hacks, do’s + don’ts of wedding/baby registries, the list goes on and on. I truly hope this page is helpful to you no matter what stage of life you are in!
About Me
I am a 30 year old, first time mom living on the Jersey Shore. I am married to my high school sweetheart + we welcomed our first little girl in October 2020. In the process of preparing + nesting, my husband and I moved from a small turnkey apartment to our home as first time home buyers.
I work as a School Psychologist + I have a passion for working with children with developmental delays. I love working together with teachers, parents, and students to find new and “outside of the box” ways to better support my students. I hope to grow this blog to include School Psychologist minded posts!
On my free time, I like to browse online for furniture, decor, and clothes. My hobbies include; target trips, watching endless hours of netflix, re-arranging living spaces, and going on adventures with our french bulldog, Lola.
